Borgo Acquaiura is located in the Center of Italy, in Umbria region, 115 km from Rome and 6 Km from the medieval town of Spoleto. The Borgo was founded around 1000, on a hill 750 meters high, at the foot of mount Fionchi (1330 m high). It has been part of the Vatican state and inhabited for centuries by farmers, It was a refreshment place for the papal troops and messengers who camped in the valley near the source of water, hence the name Acquaiura
The village includes two narrow streets, few houses and a Church built in honor of San Michele Arcangelo. The Borgo has been restored with traditional materials and respecting its history by the Varvaro family, who has elected it as their country house
The village is the ideal place to visit the center of Italy, the medieval towns of Umbria (Spoleto, Todi, Assisi, Montefalco, Gubbio, Trevi, Norcia, Cascia) and natural beauty such as the Marmore waterfall, Castelluccio, mount Vettore and Piediluco lake

A friend and I stayed with our children in August at casa vicolo. A paradise, everything perfect, Nico his wife and the incredible owner and wonderful house 5 minutes from Spoleto. We will be back!
Lovely and well-kept place. immersed in the narura is ideal for relaxing and recharging the batteries. And then there is Nico, always available and ready to satisfy every request, he is the real added value. Ultimately highly recommended
Difficult to find faults.
We have returned today from 5 days to the village. A CHARM. Cleaning courtesy and every comfort. We stayed at the alley house. The house has everything, washing machine and dishwasher. Spacious clean, two bedrooms, one double with bathroom with tub and the other with two single beds with bathroom with shower. The pool and the structure are wonderful as the kindness of Nicu and his wife and the owner Vito. Yesterday one more person came and more
A SECOND HOME!
I returned for the 4th time without looking for anything else !! Serenity, tranquility, availability, excellent hospitality. Obvious cleaning and services ok.
Returning home .... I already missed my second home .... 🙁
